From this article, you will learn about the following improvements to the system:
Blocking the termination of orders without an actual unloading date and CMR.
With the new version of the system, we have introduced a functionality that prevents orders from being terminated if the actual unloading date is missing or the CMR document is not attached. The functionality is available in the Configuration menu >> System configuration >> Order handling tab >> field Completing orders.
When the Force date and time option is activated, the system automatically verifies, at each attempt to manually terminate the order, whether the actual date and time of its last unloading has been filled in for each load (the status of the point must be marked Completed). If the required data is missing, the system will display a window where the user can complete it. If the order contains more than one load, the system presents data for each of the last unloading points separately, with the option to enter the missing information.
If the option Force CMR is activated, the system checks whether a CMR document has been attached to each load. If the document is not present, the user is obliged to add it before the end of the order:
- if the order contains exactly one load and the CMR document has been added to the load or to the order itself, then the validation is considered positive and the order can be completed;
- if the order contains more than one load, the CMR document must be added by the user to each of the loads separately (adding documents only at order level will not be sufficient to fulfil the validation condition).
The new solution aims to improve the quality of data entered into the system, ensure the completeness of transport documentation and increase the accuracy of operational and financial reports.
Transporeon – adding loads for contractors with an assigned Transporeon ID
A new configuration option has been made available in the system Add only loads that belong to contractors with an assigned Transporeon ID (Configuration >> System configuration >> tab Transporeon).
When enabled, the system will only add those loads which are assigned to contractors with a defined Transporeon identifier in fireTMS. If there is no link – that is, if a counterparty with the relevant Transporeon ID does not exist in the system – the load will not be automatically saved. The new functionality reduces the risk of accidental or incomplete data being added and increases the integrity of the information processed in the system.
The Transporeon ID assigned to a counterparty can be checked in the counterparty’s file, accessible from the Files menu >>> Customers / All contractors, in the field Transporeon ID.
Improvements to the vehicle schedule
In the vehicle schedule, there is now the possibility to add events with specific start and end times. Previously, each event was treated as an all-day event, which limited the precision of scheduling. With the new solution, it is now possible to set an exact time interval, allowing a more realistic representation of vehicle and driver operations.
In addition, loading and unloading identifiers have been included in the scheduling. From now on, information on individual identifiers will be visible when clicking on a selected order – the system will then display a window containing all the details, including loading and unloading locations.
New integration with Commander GPS
The final new feature is the integration with Commander GPS, which allows you to keep track of the location of vehicles from your own fleet. What’s more, the integration automatically transmits the meter status at the end of each day to the system, so that the vehicle mileage in the file updates itself – without the need to manually complete the data. This is a huge convenience in terms of monitoring fleet profitability and performance. To activate the integration, go to Configuration >> System configuration >> Transport configuration tab, and then under Telematics configuration (GPS) click Add and select GPS Commander from the list of available systems.
