In this article, you will learn about the following new features in the fireTMS system:
In an earlier version of the system, we introduced the ability to centrally manage email addresses – adding additional mailboxes and assigning them to selected users, branches or system roles (details in the article Managing additional email addresses, activity log in the vehicle file and other new features). Currently, this mechanism also includes sending payment reminders and payment requests. In Configuration >> System configuration >> Vindication tab >> E-mail from which notifications will be sent you can specify the sender’s address from which automatic collection messages will be sent. This allows you to use the specified mailbox for communication regarding overdue payments and to maintain consistency in correspondence with contractors. If you use your own mailbox, it is not possible to specify the time of delivery of notifications – the delivery schedule is then carried out automatically by the system.
In the latest version of the system, we have expanded the fireTMS API so that integrations with external systems can cover even more operational and accounting processes. We have added the following features to the interface:
The extended API facilitates the automation of data exchange with financial and accounting systems, analytical tools, and the customer’s own applications. This makes it possible to reduce manual data entry, maintain consistency of information across the entire ecosystem, and implement individual integrations tailored to the company’s needs more quickly.
The latest addition is integration with the Cargotrack telematics system. The connection can be configured in Configuration >> System configuration >> Transport configuration tab >> Telematics configuration (GPS) section. Once the integration is activated, fireTMS automatically retrieves the current positions of vehicles and records the odometer reading in the vehicle file on a daily basis. This makes it easier to control actual mileage, reduce billing errors and better plan fleet utilisation, which directly translates into more efficient transport operations management.
In addition, we have introduced an improvement for all telematics integrations – if a given supplier does not provide odometer information, a relevant message is displayed when adding or editing telematics in the system. This avoids misunderstandings and clearly indicates which data is automatically transferred from telematics and which requires manual completion.
