In this article, you will learn about the following improvements in the fireTMS system:
Defining additional payment terms
In the new version of the system, we have introduced the ability to define new payment terms. Global term templates are available in the system configuration and can be applied throughout the company. Additionally, you can assign individual payment terms to a specific contractor and, if necessary, change the term directly at the level of a single document (e.g., sales or purchase invoice). This makes it easier to adjust payment terms to commercial arrangements and practices used in various relationships with customers and suppliers.
The new configurations include, among others, two types of settings:
- number of days after the end of the month – if we set 10 days, the payment date for documents issued in March will be set to 10 April, for documents from April to 10 May, etc.,
- end of the month after a number of days – if we set 14 days, an invoice issued on 10 March will have a payment date of 31 March, while an invoice from 25 March will have a payment date of 31 April (due to the user-selected 14-day condition not being met), etc. When this configuration is selected, the payment date will always be the last day of the month.
Schemes defined in this way allow complex payment terms, often found in contracts with key contractors, to be reflected in the system, while reducing the need for manual correction of deadlines and the risk of errors.
Reminders about driver document deadlines when creating an order
In an earlier article: Managing additional e-mail addresses, activity log in the vehicle file and other new features, we described the mechanism of reminders about periodic inspections and activities for internal vehicles and semi-trailers, along with messages displayed when creating an order. Now, a similar solution is also available for the driver file – upcoming and overdue items are highlighted accordingly, which facilitates the supervision of mandatory formalities. Additionally, when creating an order to which a given driver is assigned, a message is displayed informing about upcoming and overdue deadlines related to their documents.
A new field has also appeared in the driver’s file End of validity of residence permit, which allows you to check key dates related to the legality of the driver’s stay and take action to renew documents at the right time.
