In this article, you’ll learn about the following improvements and new features in the fireTMS system:
New Placeholders in Email Templates
We’ve added new placeholders that allow you to automatically populate selected data in email templates. Placeholders are special markers that are automatically replaced with the relevant data from the system when an email is sent. This allows users to create more detailed and personalized templates without having to manually enter information. This feature is available in Configuration >> System Configuration >> the Printout Configuration >> the Templates tab.
New placeholders include:
- Order route – available for order-related templates. Displays the route in the following format: first loading point → last unloading point. This allows the subject line or body of the email to contain clear information about the route, which facilitates archiving and quick searching of correspondence.
- Order number for payments – available for email templates related to payments, such as payment notifications and payment reminders. It automatically includes the order number associated with the payment.
These changes increase the flexibility of template configuration and allow for better tailoring of generated messages to users’ needs.
Driver card expiration date in the driver profile
We have expanded the driver profile with a new field Driver card expiration date, available in the “Periodic Tasks” section. This field allows for the independent tracking of the driver card’s expiration date, which was not previously stored in the system as a separate piece of information.
The new field functions similarly to the other expiration dates for driver documents, making it easier for users to monitor the expiration dates of required documents and manage their validity more effectively. This change enhances the completeness of the data stored in the driver’s file and streamlines the organization of documentation management tasks.
Integration with GPS Hunter
We have expanded fleet monitoring capabilities by integrating with the GPS Hunter system. Thanks to the connection with fireTMS, it is possible to automatically retrieve the current location of vehicles and their current odometer readings, allowing for even more precise monitoring of fleet operations.
Data is regularly synchronized with the system, giving users access to up-to-date information on vehicle locations and mileage without the need for manual data entry. This integration supports real-time monitoring of ongoing shipments, analysis of vehicle utilization, and planning of operational and maintenance activities.
